Responsibilities:
* Provides technical assistance, consultation, and training to support emerging and existing community groups, organizations, coalitions, boards of health, and other service providers to increase their capacity to develop community health promotion programs, policy initiatives and implement environmental strategies, particularly around the issues of alcohol and youth development. * Guides community groups in the development and implementation of community-focused prevention strategies including: leadership development, community engagement, and promoting policy change. * Assists regional coalitions to develop leadership to implement prevention plans addressing local public health needs. * Compiles, analyzes and reports on community data using Scantron and/or SPSS software. * Demonstrates initiative in assisting coalitions to employ youth development principles. * Acts as a resource for clients, community partners, and funding agency representatives. * Plans, organizes, and implements workshops, and meetings that promote public health goals. * Identifies resources and creates presentations and/or training sessions. * Maintains knowledge of community organizations, agencies, and leaders, as well as current prevention and public health theories and strategies. * Works with clients to identify services needed, assess resources, determines appropriate timeline and seeks feedback on services delivered. * Promotes inclusive strategies to engage all sectors of the community with particular emphasis on those under-served

| Requirements |
Qualifications:
* Master's Degree in Public Health or Community Development. * Five to ten years demonstrated experience in the implementation, technical support or evaluation of community and systems change projects. * Experience and knowledge of prevention theory/health promotion, youth development, coalition building and community engagement. * Demonstrated experience in conducting community-wide public health initiatives or health focused environmental strategies to reduce risk factors for substance abuse prevention. * Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of public health stake holders. * Proven leadership skills as well as superior facilitation and training skills. * Travel required within the region and state. * Grant writing skills and skills in basic html or other web design software a plus. * Bilingual/bicultural candidates strongly preferred.
